Communications Consultant (Paint the Change)

We are a London-based news and production company with a portfolio of projects that promote freedom of expression, human rights and social justice. Over the next two years, with partners in Greece and Serbia, we will be delivering a project to engage young, difficult to reach audiences with street art and promote diversity, inclusion and tolerance. The project will develop a curriculum as well as produce a set of prominent street art pieces as well as a documentary film. 

Scope of work

The Communications Consultant (Paint the Change) will manage communications and dissemination activities for the Paint the Change project. They will report to the Project Manager and work closely with colleagues delivering the project in London, Athens and Belgrade. 

Key tasks:

  • Develop a communication and dissemination strategy in close collaboration with the project team, partners and stakeholders.

  • Deliver project communications to target audiences, including young people, educators and schools, artists, local and national authorities / policy-makers, local communities.

  • Create compelling communications products to showcase project progress and outcomes.

  • Deliver a programme of events, including mural and film launches and discussions.

  • Lead on the development of the project website and online toolkits, and manage social media channels.

  • Support project partners by providing advice and guidance, and reviewing and editing communications materials.

  • Monitor and report regularly on the communications campaign progress and results against agreed KPIs.

Essential skills and attributes

  • Three years of experience in a senior communications position.

  • Experience of developing and delivering integrated communications projects across the full communications spectrum.

  • Excellent and organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of delivery.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and people management skills.

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

Desirable skills and attributes

  • Demonstrable experience of communicating to young audiences about art.

  • Ability to work across cultures.

  • Experience of managing web development projects and digital marketing.

  • Experience of using content management systems.
